Foot Joint Mobilisation
If you have foot pain or heel pain, Foot Joint Mobilisation can gently correct the placement of bones in your feet to keep your body in balance. Offered by Family Focus Remedial Therapies in Pirongia, near Hamilton, Waikato.
WHAT IS FOOT JOINT MOBILISATION?
Foot joint mobilisation is a series of gentle movements designed to correct the placement of the bones in your feet. It removes pressure from your feet to correct and prevent structural imbalances in your body.
Foot joint mobilisation is effective as a stand alone therapy. It is also useful to have Foot joint mobilisation treatment in conjunction with the use of orthotics.
WHO IS THIS TREATMENT FOR?
If the treatment that you are having on your body is not holding or if you have foot pain or heal pain, it could be caused by misalignment in the bones of your feet.
You may be at a higher risk of misalignment if you are older, a sports person, on your feet all day, or if you are recovering from injury.
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO CORRECT THE PLACEMENT OF THE BONES IN THE FOOT?
We rely on our feet for balance, stability and to move around, so how we treat them has a huge impact on the rest of our body.
There are 28 bones and 33 muscles in each foot. Your foot is designed to move in 150 different ways.
Small shifts in the bones of the foot may initially cause a little discomfort, with some foot pain or heel pain. If these shifts are not dealt with they can worsen, leading to structural problems in your body.
These changes in the foot are often caused by every day use, work or sports stress and not necessarily by larger events such as sprains or breaks.
When bones in the foot are misaligned, the whole body is affected. This can cause:
- Back pain
- Hip pain
- Knee pain
- Neck pain
- Shoulder pain
- Flat feet
- High arches
- Shin splints
- Swollen ankles
- Claw toes
- Burning feet
- Aching feet
- Plantar fasciitis
If you are suffering from foot pain or heel pain, please contact us today. Correct the shifts in your feet before they worsen, possibly affecting the rest of your body.
With very flat feet, one of my daughters would often fall over whilst she was running. There was no assistance available through the health system, so I learned the gentle process of foot joint mobilisation. I treated my daughter using this therapy and achieved excellent results. Foot joint mobilisation is a service that I offer at Family Focus Remedial Therapies. If you are suffering from foot pain, please get in touch to see if foot joint mobilisation can assist.
